THIS COMMENTARY IS FROM OTHERCRAP.COM A GREAT WEBSITE FOR RANDOM FUNNY STUFF
This is really a boon for the people who create the ad campaigns, since they very well could have posted the anonymous comments in the first place! If they can't find someone who says exactly what they want, they can post the exact words they want under a screen nic, then quote their own comments as an example of what "others are saying." SWEET!
In theory, one could go to The Huffington Post, register a nickname, then post a comment that Rudy Giuliani has sex with sheep. Then one could run an ad saying "Dems refused to renounce site with sheep-fucking claim."
Alternately, one might post a comment on the same site that Hillary Clinton has sex with sheep, then run an ad saying "Even the liberal blogs admit Clinton's perversions."
In the case cited in the article, a narrator recounts what "others are saying" about a candidate. As quotes flash across the screen, the narrator says he is "running the most cowardly campaign I have ever seen" and "has been lying to voters the entire campaign." The narrator is quoting anonymous blog postings, which could in fact easily have been made by the same people who created the TV ad!
